Brief Bio (work):
Originally studied Fine Art and started working in media industry after leaving Uni with an Honours degree in Fine Art (Time Based Media) – specialising in video installation.
Became MultiMedia Manager and editor at Cube Media and Old Dairy Studios, York where I worked on a series of films for Yorkshire Media Consortium – filming, editing, directing etc… During the early 2000’s I worked on a vast range of projects for archive and broadcast – including lots of work with people with disabilities.
I went on to become Post Production Manager at York TV (a local terrestrial broadcast TV Station), where I was responsible for all production output and TX and worked as producer on a number of daily/weekly shows including News, Cookery, Lifestyle and Music (Unsigned UK). Directed and produced a number of regular, interactive (SMS-Based) live shows.
Started my own ltd. company in 2005 – picking up comissions and projects from regional screen agencies, archives and museums and galleries (many examples of these projects on this site).
Spent three years working freelance for Yorkshire Film Archive as a moving image consultant and Film Maker developing a ‘house-style’ for them and producing and directing innovative applications for archive film such as ‘Stadium Legends‘, ‘Memory-Bank‘ (producing ALL content for the Memory-Bank product a tool for reminiscence therapy using archive film to help trigger memories and conversation in people with Alzheimers or Dementia and advising the design agency in the overall design of the Memory-Bank product), ‘Yorkshire Shorts‘ (Seasons) and many others… Currently working freelance as project manager for ‘Cedar Dance Animations’.
