Steps In Time is a series of films commissioned by Renaissance Yorkshire an MLA regional initiative. These stunning films formed the centre-piece exhibition on the grand opening of Leeds City Museum in Millennium Square, Leeds.
I produced these films as a celebration of the vibrant dance culture of this lively, creative city. The exhibition, in the vast main arena of the museum, ran for a year drawing over 90,000 visitors in the first month alone. I wanted to show that the people of Leeds were truly centre-stage performers driving the cultural generation and creative innovation of the region.
The project was such a success that I was commissioned to produce film exhibitions in the museum's main arena for a further three years - these projects were: "Faith In The City", "A Greener City" and "Food For Thought".
